Latest techology taping head designed for application of steel/copper tapes on small & medium cables (up to 50 mm) The machine is designed to run long length (from spools 670 x 300 mm -600 kg ) at high speed (600 RPM). The taping head applies 2 tapes on the cable, with an angle from 42°.... 75° The steel tapes come from back side, from 2 rotating pay-offs (concentric spools) with 600 kg storage capacity. In standard : Tape thickness steel : 0.10....0.40 mm (40./60 N/mm²) Tape thickness copper : 0.10...0.50 mm copper Tape width : 10....40 mm Productivity : 3 times more than conventional taper and down-time divided by 6 ! These 2 spools are prepared on the machine, by winding on spools the tapes coming from pads. You can get 600 kg steel tape on one spool. This machine has motorized capstans for each tape feeding. This allows the machine to make also thicker tapes, like 0,8 mm steel (using capstans) and thin like 0,10 mm when bypassing the 2 tape feeding capstans. For thick tape, you need indeed to pull the tapes from pay-offs before applying on the cable at lower tension, without damaging the cables) We have the main machine, mechanically in top condition. The electrical panel must be new and the welders for butt welding also. Machine is dated 2010 and barely used. It was purchased in a project for railways & signal cables, but they never got the market for this finally. It is right to left operated.
