NOVA 1250 mm Single Twist Line, SWA - CWS or Laying-up Operations (Ref : WAYN1C)

Modern line based on single twist principle and designed for steel wire armouring (SWA) or copper wire screening (CWS) operations. Line can do typically armoured or screened cables with diameter up to 30 mm at a speed of 230 rpm & 120 m/min max. Pay-off tension is controlled by rotating dancer (pneumatic) giving good accuracy even for small cable diameter. By adding extra pay-offs, line could be used also for laying-up or quadding operation. Line is equipped with single twist take-up suitable for DIN 1250 mm bobbins 2500 kg and rotating pay-off same size (driven bobbin) Wires come from baskets or bobbins (up to 54 wires). It was manufactured by NOVA/Italy in 2005. It is still installed (April 2019) and operated till recently. Design is with independent motors for take-up and pay-off and electrical synchronisation.
